Part-time

How You'll Make an Impact:

• Prepares or directs the preparation of food items which are palatable and appetizing in appearance.
• Adheres to written recipes, menus, and individual diet orders.
• Prepares food items, special diets, snacks and nourishments according to establish schedules and mealtimes.
• Labels and/or otherwise identifies meals, special diets, and nourishments with resident name, room number, or other identifier, to assure that each resident receives food in accordance with care plan, physician's orders, and resident preference.
• Avoids waste of food items and dietary supplies; labels, dates, and appropriately stores food items and leftovers immediately after use.
• Maintains sanitation and cleanliness of all kitchen equipment, utensils, counters, preparation and storage areas according to established schedules, facility and departmental policies for routine cleaning.
• Supervises culinary aides in absence of Dietary Manager
• Becomes a valuable team-member working together to create positivity.
• Demonstrates interpersonal effectiveness by building meaningful relationships.
• Uses critical thinking skills to constantly improve and innovate.

Requirements:

• Applicants must be eighteen years of age or older
• Have completed or willing to complete state approved safety and sanitation, and modified diet courses (we are willing to train the right candidate)
• Can speak and write the English language
• Desire to work with and serve co-workers, tenants, and residents in a way that is compassionate, personalized, and respectful

PRN:

• All Shifts (4, 8, 12 hour shifts available)

Shift Differential Pay: 5% more for 2pm-10pm, 10% more for 10pm-6am

• Assist residents with daily living activities focusing on safety and compassion
• Become a valuable team-member working together to create positivity
• Demonstrate interpersonal effectiveness by building meaningful relationships
• Use critical thinking skills to constantly improve and innovate
• Assure that effective quality nursing care is delivered which is outcome focused through utilization of the nursing process
• Develop and communicate individualized plan of resident-centered care in collaboration with the resident/responsible party, family, and care team
• Implement plan of care consistently, effectively and cost efficiently with focus on resident centered outcomes by utilizing all appropriate and available resources for resident/family/responsible party counseling and discharge planning
• Work in collaboration with physician and/or other health care professionals by sharing information relevant to changing plan of care
• Supervise and lead CNAs to perform safe, compassionate, and high-quality care
• Perform accurate and efficient charting

Requirements:

• Applicants must be 18 years of age or older
• Desire to work with and serve residents in a way that is compassionate, personalized, and respectful
• Applicants must be a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in good standing with the state and maintain a current certification throughout employment
• Competencies in person-directed and elder-directed caregiving
