2026 Spring Valley Christmas Tour of Homes & Wine Walk December 10

Step into the joy of Christmas at Spring Valley retirement community on December 10 from 4-6 p.m. at the Spring Valley Christmas Tour of Homes & Wine Walk! Enjoy Christmas music, decorated homes and common spaces, and more than 75 nativity scenes as we welcome the community for this festive event.

The gathering at Spring Valley Campus, 501 12th St. in Perry, will feature music by community favorite Doc McCaulley and a performance by the joint Christ Lutheran Church and Perry Lutheran Homes choir. Guests can explore the Christmas décor, sample complimentary wine and charcuterie, enter for door prizes, and enjoy the season together. Everyone is welcome; no RSVP is required.

The event brings the people who call Spring Valley home together with family, friends, and neighbors. This is a great opportunity to stop in and visit with someone you know living at Spring Valley Campus for the holiday season. Whether you’re visiting someone you know or discovering the community for the first time, we’re excited to welcome you. Come with a friend, family member, or church group and enjoy an afternoon of Christmas music and hospitality.

The event also offers an opportunity to explore apartments and common areas at a relaxed pace. For older adults and families considering a future move, a visit can help them picture daily life in Spring Valley’s independent and assisted living community. For those living at home, Perry Lutheran Homes will also have information available about in-home care. Support can include companionship, meal preparation, housekeeping, laundry, errands, and other everyday tasks, based on individual needs and available services.

Local healthcare providers, real estate and financial professionals, downsizers, community organizations and others serving older adults are invited to attend and mix and mingle with guests. The gathering offers an opportunity to see Spring Valley firsthand and become more familiar with housing and services available.

Throughout the campus, nativity scenes will celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. McCaulley is also known for his Christian music ministry, adding to the gathering’s celebration of the season.
