Retired Nurses Invited to “Cup of Care” Coffee Gathering at Perry Lutheran Homes

Retired nurses from Perry and surrounding communities are invited to join Perry Lutheran Homes for "Cup of Care", a special coffee gathering created to honor and celebrate those who dedicated their lives to caring for others.

The event will be held on Thursday, June 25 at 2:30 p.m. at the Eden Acres Campus of Perry Lutheran Homes, located at 1300 28th Street in Perry.

Guests will enjoy coffee, treats, conversation, and fellowship while reconnecting with fellow nurses and sharing stories from years spent serving residents, patients, families, and communities. Whether your nursing career was spent in a hospital, clinic, long-term care community, or another healthcare setting, you are welcome to attend.

Nursing is more than a profession; it is a calling. Cup of Care provides an opportunity for retired nurses to celebrate a lifetime of service, reconnect with peers who understand the joys and challenges of caregiving, and build new connections within the community.

The gathering will be hosted by Deb (Hanysh) Koelln, a former nurse and Director of Nursing at Perry Lutheran Homes. Having spent much of her career caring for others and supporting fellow nurses, Deb looks forward to reconnecting with retired nurses from Perry and surrounding communities for an afternoon of coffee, stories, and fellowship.

There is no cost to attend, and retired nurses are encouraged to invite a friend.
